Spring Has Sprung

We have had some beautiful spring days. We enjoy getting outside in the sunshine for a walk or sitting on a blanket in the grass. I know we need to enjoy these spring days because summer will be here before we know it and it will be sooo hot. I'm planting a vegtable garden in my backyard this year. It's going to be a small garden, but I'm excited to grow just a few types of vegetables. Last weekend, my dad was able to come for a visit and help me get it started. So hopefully, we'll have a milder summer than we did last summer so that all my veggies don't burn up.

Snow Day!

We awoke this morning to snow falling and it continued to fall through out much of the day. I have never seen such big, fluffy snowflakes. It was beautiful covering our lawn and especially on the cedar trees.

6 Months Old Already

William turned 6 months old last week. My, how time flys! He is enjoying his toys now, often playing independently. Some of his favorites are his jumper, Sophie the giraffe, and Jo Jo the sock monkey.
I also noticed that he really enjoys the attention of his Daddy. When Ken gets home at night, they rough house (as Ken calls it) and William laughs and has a great time. He watches Ken very intently when Ken is busy doing other things and gets a big smile on his face as Ken acknowleges him. He loves his Daddy!
In the last few days, he has also begun to really enjoy books. When I get one out before nap time, he giggles. This warms my heart. I hope he continues to love books.
He has started giving me kisses (or at least that is what I think it is) after waking up from his naps and in the morning when I get him out of bed. How sweet is that!
